Sexual Assault for First Responders

Course Description

Sexual Assault calls present some unique and difficult challenges to law enforcement. This course provides first responding officers with tools to conduct more effective investigations. The tools are based on the dynamics, law, and victimization associated with these highly traumatic calls for service. Whether your agency has established a Sexual Assault Response Team (SART) or not, this course will present strategies which will assist you in completing the investigations that can lead to successful prosecutions.

The instructional team includes a law enforcement officer, a prosecutor, and an advocate, all of whom have extensive experience handling sexual assault crimes.
