Advanced Sexual Assault for Investigators

Course Description

This 24-hour course has been designed to provide experienced sexual assault detectives advanced strategies for investigating reports of adolescent and adult sexual assault. Building on the knowledge and skills gained in the 40-hour ICI Sexual Assault Investigations course, students will have the opportunity to go in-depth on issues that commonly arise when investigating cases of adolescent or adult sexual assault. Students will learn about current trends and advanced investigative techniques for these often complex cases in order to assist them in preparing a case for successful prosecution.

Course Fee Information:

POST Plan IV

POST Reimbursable agencies:  There is no tuition for POST reimbursable agencies. Student travel and per diem reimbursement will be via Training Reimbursement Request (TRR).
Non-POST Reimbursable agencies:  There is no tuition for this course. POST will not reimburse travel or per diem expenses. If you have a question as to eligibility, please contact your training manager. As a general rule, all state and federal agencies are considered non-reimbursable agencies and must pay tuition as well as their own travel and per diem.
